>>85088912Everyone understands a graduation dumbass, but it doesn't justify some issues with it, we understand them from some logical and business side of things (they obviously can't use the IP owned by the company even if they want to buy it, and they don't want to attract anyone from joining in, getting fame and then dropping out and keeping the fame and power to still collab with people who didn't graduated, etc), yet is still is convoluted mess that's only been spread more and more in the community by the corporations that don't really care about the sentimental stuff of the fanbase, they care about not losing money lol.
Graduations have always been a bit exaggerated in the vtuber sphere, in the Idol scene you can even get reunions or even small comebacks even after they are gone, but for VTubers, the character is just straight up gone because corporations can't make money out of people who don't have a contract (maybe they can get paid to play the character in some future) and corporations know this song and dance, hence why they want to milk the shit out of it before they leave. The actor behind it almost never goes away from the community, so a lot of people don't really care about getting sad over the “loss”, it's ok to be sentimental, but if people are mocking you, it's because some people act like she's fucking dying.
tl;dr graduations are really exaggerated in the vtuber and pushed more by the corporation's rules than the vtubers themselves, it's ok to be sentimental but people are going to mock people, it's internet 101.
