Just recently I started watching Ranma 1/2 and Ranma's female voice is almost a one for one with Marine's voice. You guys know if she's trying to emulate that voice or is this just a coincidence?

Probably concerning Ranma specifically, but like >>85262404 said, if you watch older anime you notice that some voice acting trends were quite different, even as recently as the early 2000s, let alone the 80s. Marine's a hag who grew up with that stuff so it might not be anything intentional, just her comfortable reference point.
