>>85424343Dissect what makes the "rabbit hole" and it more or less explains why it's so hard to peel people away from watching holoEN. Also, ask why did the debut of Advent bring back viewership for holoEN.
>Holoen barely stream. This is false. If this was true, we'd be seeing a 2022 situation and the bait would be about holoEN dying.
>Other vtubersNonholo vtubers need to offer a sufficient "substitute" product. HoloEN not streaming is an opportunity, but the hololive audience expects a certain vibe especially when it comes to collabs, plans, and what is yapped about.
>CollabsThis is also about "content groups". This is really hard for other vtubers w/o established long-term groups. Hololive members get to build and enjoy collabs together because at the end of the day, a good portion of the audience becomes shared. Popular members are also incentivized to introduce and bring on new members too. Nonholos can't really share their audiences unless they become tied to the hip w/ one another. I do hope more nonholos can figure this stuff out because it's nice to have a stable friend group where each member can work and build something together. Dog eat dog must be so exhausting for them.
>OpportunityThere is actually one opportunity that a decent amount of vtubers are trying to capitalize on. I don't believe holoEN is producing any public ASMR right now and if anyone has paid attention that's where a decent amount of nonholos are seeing views from. The nonholos can't really peel the audience away from hololive, but can at least insert themselves. There's of course the risk that members start doing public ASMRs again (I'd like that, but not going to bet on it). At least it won't be like 2023 when Advent debuted for at least another year-ish.
