>>85450708People don't actually care about Cover's stock price but people don't want to concede to Nijisisters that Cover's stock is inconsistent at best and a poor performer at worst because it feels like losing the argument. Cover is pretty ambivalent about it. A higher stock price is better obviously, but it doesn't matter too much because they believe in the long tail benefit of growing the company sustainably first. On the other hand, Anycolor cares greatly about it's stock performance to the point of buying back stock (signalling they think the stock is undervalued) and offering dividends (a move done mostly for companies to signal stability and maturation in a market). This is at the cost of investing back in the company to scale up and grow, whether that means projects, equipment, talent renumeration, staff, etc. So Nijisanji is basically saying that they're already happy with where they are at, there's no real ways to grow or improve because it's as good now as it's ever going to get.
That's why it's funny when the stock price goes nowhere or goes backwards. Because they spend all this money and effort to project a certain aura for the sake of shareholders and the market, only to have that market disagree. People rightfully point and laugh at Nijisanji EN's pathetic 3d offerings but Niji used to have objectively better 3d tech. Anycolor blew their various advantages and wasted it on a stock market that swallowed years of collective effort and spit it out.
Of course, this is the context that most intuitively understand but a select few will ignore. They're either too stupid to understand it, too emotionally invested in Nijisanji as a company to view it objectively (even as their livers suffer the most from this business strategy), or because they're a third party looking to shit up the board as their entertainment. That's why we get so much horse race posting in these kinds of threads. Granted, the purpose of most the stock threads are just to laugh at Niji but it's hard to claim they don't deserve it.
