What do you guys think Gura's thoughts are on people who are emotionally obsessed with her to unhealthy amounts?

I've seen my friend not entertain the thought of dating because girls are "evil" but his room is full of Gura merch. It's not like he's ugly either, but everytime you enter his room you'll hear this song

The reason she doesn't stream is because she's lazy but I wouldn't be surprised if distaste/hate for her fans contribute to it. Especially when you see what chumpbuds look like irl.

Vtubers are genuinely dangerous in a spiritual level, I don't think people realize how fatal it is for them to follow allegorical projections of the anima, it eternally locks them into a state of puer aeternus

Thinking like that will definitely lock you into puer aeternus. It's not the exposer to anima figures that locks you in, but overly identifying your psyche with them. You need the integration of anima for the actualization of the self. It's critical for psychological development. Running away from it entirely will only stunt growth and cause it's more negative aspects to fester in the background.

OP's friend seems like he's overly identifying with the anima and not integrating it into the rest of his psyche. However, that doesn't mean that the consumption of female vtubers is a bad thing, it's specifically how the friend is making it supersede his Self.
