Random question but how is the outline calculated for 3D models like this? Like if you look at their nose and mouth it knew to draw lines there but there are places where it decides not to draw outlines.

They probably use unity for physics and outlines. The outline is set to everywhere, then they use a 'mask' (you paint black over the texture of the mask you don't want outlines over).

Thank you. I assume there's some kind of angle relative to the camera which 'turns on' the outline, like perpendicular vertex normals (if that's the correct terminology)? It's just something I've noticed for years in vtubing and could never figure it out.

Biboo's was great, Shiori's was kinda meh and Rissa's was ok. Haven't watched the BauBaus. A problem I have seen with all 3 is that the EN girls feel a little too "outside". Like they're reading the script with emphasis and not "acting"
