Is the Council kayfabe silly? Sure, and they all know it, including the girls in EN2. But it's also harmless, and only slightly more annoying than the lore that was already forced into vtubing, with everyone being a necromancer or space elf or anime character.
Then you have shitbird, whose career and prospects were deadended living in Japan, win the lottery and get a spot in HoloEN. She could've streamed video games and superchat readings for the next 5+ years and comfortably retired on her earnings.
But no. Chicken had to be a numberfag. Suddenly just having a good job wasn't enough. She had to have more viewers, more subscribers, more everything. She had to prove she was the best girl Cover hired, and that all those shitty jobs she worked whoring herself out before Hololive weren't a reflection of her actual market value.
Compare her to a girl like Ina, who actually had marketable skills and career success before becoming a vtuber. Ina doesn't give a shit that she's the second least popular English streamer. She has fun, makes good money, and unlike Kiara, isn't completely consumed by an inferiority complex and need to prove she's the hottest girl in the room. Because Ina already knows she has merit, regardless of her numbers.
I'm not even an anti. I watch Kiara regularly. But she needs to get the fuck over this chip on her shoulder. When everywhere you go is full of shitty people, the only common denominator is you.
