As much as I hate to say it: What if this idea of non-graduation is copium? Not for the audience or the rest of Myth, but for Ame herself?
I can imagine it in my head that she went to staff and said she wanted to leave, but at the same time asked to be called back if they were wanted her for something. While she pleas with them to make this special case for her, staff just silently nods their head in agreement to whatever she says. That they only “agreed” to this because no one had the strength to admit to Ame that it’s simply over.
When she was trying to comfort Kiara in the Myth collab, the way she spoke basically gave the vibe of “I think I’ll be back for things, I don’t know what they could actually call me up for but they said they would, so I guess we’ll figure out some ideas in the future.”
I get the vibe that they’ll call her back for certain events early on, but over time slowly stop having her come back for things and hope Ame slowly forgets about the “deal” they made until she stops trying altogether
Maybe I’m going full autistic conspiracy mode over a bunch of stupid observations, but in the back of my mind have a bad feeling this won’t be the beacon of hope people think it is.
