Of course, if you call someone a racial slur they'll probably get extremely upset or beat the shit out of you, but there's no word that's been stigmatized to the point you're not allowed to say it under any circumstances. It's mind-boggling to me that you can't even quote someone who said it, or sing a song that features the word without being fucking vilified. It's pathetic and kinda childish that it's referred to as 'the n-word', like it's some sort of magic spell that'll cause untold disaster if uttered. When I hear people say that it feels like they're a kid too scared to use swear words around their parents. It's also WILD to me that apparently black people can use it all they want, considering how obviously fucking racist it is to have words that only certain races are allowed to say.
