>>86835199>>86834097>>86833805>>86832884>>86832243I unironically have autistically EXTENSIVE Halo knowledge and I can guarantee playing Reach first barely tells you anything about The Covenant.
>Firs level: Reach starts with rebels but it isn't rebels, it's aliens, we understand that The Covenant is bad and that Plasma is really bad for electronics.>Second level we learn that The Covenant can actually be pushed back by UNSC>Third level we realize they are not that great against Spartan groups with both sides having limited support>Fourth level we realize that the UNSC is actually in a severe disadvantage technologically and logistically>Fifth level we realize that all that effort was just to kill an excavation group>Sixth level shows that war with them is futile but we have no other option>Seventh level we realize that we aren't causing that much damage back to them as they are doing to us and the battle is already lost>Eight level we can make it count by doing a last ditch move against the Covenant by doing delivery through Wartorn Space Hungary>Ninth level and we deliver but we sacrifice everything>Tenth level and we realize that we couldn't win ourselves but someone else might, as we gave them the key to ending the war.The only thing we learn from Reach is that The Covenant is really scary but they are stubborn and won't destroy relics or do retarded large scale attacks for fear of damaging them.
Meanwhile: In CE we learn that they are actually really really incompetent when religion comes i their path and that same carelessness is the key to defeating them by spending the least amount of resources while covering more ground.
We don't even beat the Covenant, we just deny them assets, which in turn was the true victory, because it destabilized them from the inside of their empire. That lock was Halo, we destroyed the lock after opening it with the key and we denied the enemy access to the gift. And they REEEEEEEEEE'D so hard they self-destructed.
As you can see, Reach barely tells you a thing about the Covenant.
CE is even more cryptic and it shows that their religion is their undoing.
2 shows that they are not as cohesive as we thought they were and while humans were losing more critical assets, the Covenant was getting demoralized so hard they were at a single stupid decision away from breaking down
3 was just pure madness and tying up plot points before setting off into the sunset, most of the important dialogue is Arbiter only, Chief's side is just gun and run and rescue the gurl.
4 is just depression and a mistake of a game
5 idk what it wanted to do
INFINITE is nostalgiabait that narratively speaking is a mess but the artstyle and gameplay is PEAK Halo.
They have not even announced Halo 7 but it's coming and everything points out at the studio having given up partially and now Halo got a Chaos Space Marines situation but with Spartans.
Also, this series is just Humans vs. Aliens vs. Robots
vs. Space Zombies and somehow, it should be, but it is not, cheesy enough to have died out or been forgotten. Music and artstyle and dialogue played a huge part in it surviving this long. Also because killing aliens in space is not political enough so the green dude in power armor is a safe bet for a mascot unlike most of the CoD roster who are a walking PR disaster if used as a mascot.
In other words:
Playing Reach and then CE doesn't change that much, what they should do but won't is play Reach again after CE, 2 and 3 to get what they didn't get.
If Reach first, you think the situation is bad but not as bad. And that it was the logical conclusion to a series of tactical decisions carried out by the UNSC.
If Reach last, you understand that these types of sacrifices happened so many times before te trilogy that it makes sense that most humans GAVE UP on finding a way to resolve this militarily-speaking and we only survived due to a series of sacrifices, miracles and enemy fuck-ups in succession.
The final verdict is the same.
John Halo strong.
>What about ODST?Self-contained sub-plot. Wish I could say it isn't but many of the things there didn't really affect the plot that well.
It also JINXED the MC of that game because had they not saved the blob and just escaped earlier, he would have survived the New Blood storyline, also the guy who wrote that game intended for him to die in-game but couldn't fit it in the storyline so he was just running on borrowed time and his end was set in stone because he asked the studio to plz off him later because he couldn't>>86833425Wife!
>>86834168When Calli mentioned that she didn't take care that well of her feet (No pedi or anything) and Gura got really freaked out about that and went on a mini-rant about why that's a bad lack of action.
Way later in one handcam streams we saw Calli's feet by accident and I guess she actually took to heart what Gura said because they looked cute lol.
