It’s not really an issue on Youtube, but Twitch’s chat integration systems can be downright obnoxious with how much power they give chat to continuously interrupt the stream with stupid bullshit.

You have to do a little training exercise. If this isn't a shitpost thread and it's actually bothering you, then it's worthwhile to take a little effort. There's some faggot spammer who comments on every single vtuber clip possible with some useless garbage, and it got to the point where I got pissed looking at his messages. So I trained my eyes to snap away from the comment once I recognised the profile picture, then reported every single one just to hide it on my end because youtube has no block feature.

most jp chats are way better

the only spammy jp chats I can think of are the chats of the big niconico roujin dudes on twitch like jun, yuyuta, hanjou, dasoku, etc. but even then they're way more entertaining than the equivalent emote spam chats in the EN streamer scene
