The Philipines saw great admixture from Spain too but they don't claim to be Spanish. They see themselves as Asian. The Hebrews intermixed and they're still their own thing eschewing any European ancestry. Then there's the Indians, so fresh in the mind of Europe that when Columbus discovered the Americans he mistook the Indians for...Indians.
All of these cultures were touched by either Rome or Europe by blood and/or steel, but they don't claim European heritage because that's not how we work.
We can be friends. We can be allies, but you're gonna have to forge your own path.
Be glad about it too. A homeless white man is looked down upon due to the greatness he could have been. Any other type of homeless gets more pity. So don't worry too much about it.
