It makes for a shit community and it wrecks streamer mental health since everything has to be done in character and very little can be natural. What they do now is fine, sprinkle like 5% of lore into their shenanigans and let the talents be themselves otherwise. All the best long term streamers vtuber or not keep just a veneer of character over who they actually are.
