>>8741899I like moe SoL/comedy and don't mind yuribait. Things like YuruYuri and Hidamari Sketch are fucking perfection manifest.
I see a bit of that in Holos sometimes but the thing is you're lucky to get more than 1-2 good moe SoL anime a season while there is a fucking endless gushing river of vtuber content. Anime feels sort of obsolete, if you find a combination of chuubas to fit your humor/moe/iyashikei itches and Holo's spread will usually get you there. Not only that but you can actually interact with them for real which is cool and they can talk about various real-world things and meander around instead of just be an anime scripted on rails for every single frame by its design.
I've got it. The description. You know sandbox video games vs normal ones? Vtubing feels sort of like an anime sandbox. A very limited-scope, small ass sandbox because they only can play a few games, their models can't really move much etc but even that small sandbox + that extra dimension of freedom to move around to make the content, is very neat and endlessly-variable vs anime. So that's probably why I like vtubers. I used to not actually care for them a huge deal, but they slowly grew on me over time to be go-to entertainment that is literally always there and changing.
