>>87546225Go for it. My schizotheory might be the obvious conclusion others have come to. I think that it's class Reincarnation because they're all people who have streaming experience who are just reincarnating as NEXAS talents. I would guess it's both a mix of reincarnated chuubas as well as people with no VTubing experience but who had other content creation PLs, e.g. Soundcloud musicians, regular Twitch facecam streamers, etc.
Look at...
- the class name
- some of the posts that Class 4 has made reference reincarnation
- better concepts imo, more unique but still cohesive, better than what we've seen for the other classes
- better branding
- stronger initial posts
- they at least seem more organized than the other classes in terms of things like the intro posts happening all at the same tim
Case in point: I think the standout of this class will be Mayo Sozoic.
- Unique model
- Great name (pun, but also sounds 'Japanese' enough) that immediately tells me this person is a dinosaur/prehistoric themed chuuba
- From what I've seen so far, they were smart and kept shit simple. Popular bipedal dinosaur, prehistoric clothing, who instead of running to class late with toast in her mouth, runs to the academia with a tamago roll given her whole egg schtick. The anime writes itself.
- Not sure if they had this level of foresight in their model design, or how their process went, but I know VAllure scrapped a concept for a dinosaur girl with a tail. Whenever a corpo shows a product they didn't make, you'll get some contingent moaning they wish the corpo made the product, whether it's a flavor of Oreo or a chuuba design. Having a model that isn't just like a corpo model, but one that's explicitly similar to one a corpo didn't go with, is chef's kiss genius.
However this would require NEXAS to be organized enough to actually have a themed class. This would mean they'd have to actually find 16 experienced content creators willing to sign up to NEXAS.
I think the class ranking will end up being:
1.) Genesis, with the Gen1 Buff.
2.) Tensei, if my theory is right and they're experienced content creators that have just chosen to reincarnate at NEXAS rather than go indie.
3.) Nebulink feels like an extension of Genesis being part of a block 1. I think that split is their biggest debuff, and that if the Nebulink talents had been launched at the same time as Genesis, the merger would have made both groups stronger.
4.) The 10 they just closed auditions for will be behind Genesis, Tensei, and Nebulink, but above the worst class, because...
5.) Yume is the smallest class, even smaller than the class of 10, and at a corpo about acceleration and numbers, where magnitude matters, being small is a fucking debuff. Yume had the weakest debuts. When your class is only 8 strong, and 1 person doesn't debut on time, that's a full 12.5% of your class that just didn't show.
I think the divide will get worse for Yume when NEXAS inevitably ends up having the classes compete as teams for rewards. Let's say that NEXAS had a contest to see which class could get the most followers in a month. Let's pretend there weren't and haven't been graduations to make the numbers easier.
With 27 members in Genesis, let's say that as a whole, the group gained 8k followers and Yume gained 4k. Yume would've gained more followers per talent but less raw followers as a group than Genesis. To make this a fair fight, NEXAS would need to reward the class based on followers per talent, right? Well, even if they did, the 27 members of Genesis could essentially be a very strong cross-promotional cabal. A team of 27 mediocre talents could still absolutely mog a good group of 8 talents just because they have literally over 3x the number of talents.
Yume has been my least favorite class and has some of my least favorite NEXAS talents in it. There's nothing wrong with them as people. They just aren't my personal taste. However, regardless of my tastes, I think that they genuinely do not stand a shot in the Battle Royale because they were NERFed on drop given they're literally the smallest team so far, they had the shortest newbie buff (I think) and they're probably already 2-3 talents down. I don't see Cora or Rune streaming much frankly. I feel really sorry for Yume.
What would've made things a fair fight is obviously standardization of class size, but also of class composition. If it's a coed corpo arm with coed classes, make sure to have the same mix across the board, whether it's 50/50 male/female, 25/75, whatever. Just keep it consistent across the classes. There also should've been a clear timetable and calendar made regarding time between gens.
