I understand that these vtubers are anime avatars played by real people, and that it is literally impossible to ever interact with their anime personas in real life.. because anime is a fictional medium of entertainment.
I watch vtubers for fun and for entertainment. It’s the exact same reason for why I watch twitch streamers and other things like Netflix.
I love my girlfriend more than anything in the world and I wouldn’t trade that for my oshi, I think even if you don’t have a romantic partner, it’s much healthier to distance yourself from parasocial delusions.
