Hololive and Nijisanji have at least considered the idea of replacing the person behind the vtuber model but they have seen how much backlash that causes with the fan base. Wactor has doxxed their own talents while filing lawsuits against them so they literally don't give a shit about backlash. This soul change for their graduated talents is a desperate move though and the company must be getting close to bankruptcy if they won't spend money to design new models.

Coco is gone and it will stay that way until for whatever reason kson returns as Coco. This also applies to other graduated/terminated talents. No one, will be able to replicate the OG, and by trying to do so will taint the model for everyone

Can't even do this with AI. Vedal tried to update Neuro-sama's voice to a more realistic AI voice model and fans threw a shit-fit because "it's not Neuro". So now he has 2 chuubas with 2 different AI voices. (The evil one uses the newer (sexier) voice model)
