>>87692434If you're good with patterns it's easy. White piano keys are the key of C major (CDEFGABC). Take any note, then the key 2 above it, then the key 2 above that (1-3-5), and you have a basic chord. C is the first note in C major, and playing chords up the scale you get:
CEG (I) - C major chord
DFA (II) - D minor chord
EGB (III) - E minor chord
FAC (IV) - F major chord
GBD (V) - G major chord
ACE (VI) - A minor chord)
BDF (VII) - garbage don't play chords on the 7th note
I IV and V will always be major chords regardless of what key you're in, and II III VI will always be minor chords.

This is all in C major. Once you go to other keys you start using black keys (sharps and flats) but it still follows the exact same patterns.
