I saw Tim Henson, expert guitar guy super duper awesome guitar player expert, speak towards the TOP of a fucking blue yeti like a retard when you have to speak in front of it. Good audio setup is a plus, but proper mic setup and technique is equal if not more important than setting up your expensive mic and mixer. Distance from the mic, room size, gain setting, taking clipping into account, noise gates, etc. What I WOULD post in capslock is that it's not acceptable for a professional to use a headset mic. That one I will say is fucking bad and not acceptable under any circumstance unless you stream exclusively for fun and nothing else. And even then it sounds like shit.
