It's a LOT harder to make it as a new vtuber today than it was even a year ago. Elira would basically have to start completely from scratch with an albatross around her neck. You also underestimate how much power the likes of Mythic and VShojo have over Twitch and how that influence spreads to the industry itself. Good luck trying to get collabs with even small indies when they're afraid of burning bridges with the twitch mafia

I think the fact that she's still clinging on in Niji instead of graduating and going independent is because she can't throw the company under the bus to salvage her reputation.

If Niji forced her to do the black stream, she can just reveal that and everything would be relatively fine, but if she was the one pushing for it or active part of the mean girl clique, then her options are way more limited.

She's cooked. The only possible out is maybe to graduate, apologize to Doki, and then come out with a thick stack of receipts about being lied to and forced to do black screen by management. Even then it's probably still cooked but with some serious dirt on Niji she might be able to rehabilitate her image.

None of these are happening. She'll stay with Niji because they give her as much merch and she wants and be in every 3D Live event. Best she can hope for is the branch actually does get merged and she starts over with a JP audience that doesn't know/care about what happened out west.
