Elira is several things: friends with Enna and Millie who are named as related individuals in Selen's complaint, a self-proclaimed victim alongside her friends, Selen's "sister" according to vtuber tradition as one who shares the same artist, one of the three members of the first wave ever to come out of the branch, and one of the members of the first six that passed auditions alongside Finana, Pomu, Rosemi, and Petra.
Vox was one of the most, if not THE most, influential of Luxiem when it came to numbers alone. His only real competitor in this regard, Mysta, was already out by the time everything happened. Moreover, he was also a frequent collab partner and "conspirator" of Selen that admittedly played decently well into their bro friendship dynamic that showcased more of his non-toxic behaviors and more of his unusual but non-egregious male vtuber behaviors.
Ike was an interesting choice but also played as a good foil to the other two. Where Elira took the role of a distraught victim and Vox took the role of the angry victim, Ike took the role of the betrayed friend at a loss for words. He did little to disparage her openly and so he suffered the least, as we all know.
I'm sure that they believed emphasizing their "volunteering" to involve themselves in this catastrophe-in-waiting was intended to demonstrate just how serious the situation was and "just how bad Selen's actions were".
