You can play racing games with keyboard only no problem.
It's not as good as other options but it's totally viable if you're not try harding, especially if the game as an ABS assist and progressive steering.
I'd go as far as to say that keyboard is much easier, if you have zero experience with controllers, since it's a much more precise ON/OFF control instead of having to deal with sticks.

Unrelated, but JP side Miko and Korone streamed it for sure multiple times.
