This year has just been horrible for them. I was in a group call with a few big Vivi fans last night and they were breaking down crying over watching their oshi talk like that.
The sisters are obviously a shit group of bullies who deserves anything that comes to them, but most of these people are just normal guys and girls who loved watching anime girls yap while playing video games.
Ever since January, Pandora's box was opened and it's just become impossible to deny all of the garbage happening to their favorite content creators. They came into this community for escapism, and instead it's just caused more stress and heartache.
For a lot of them, Vivi was pretty much the last bastion of happiness left in that place, but hearing her melt down like that caused the few stragglers who spent the past several years loving and attempting to justify the happy nijisanji family to snap out of it and truly accept that there really is no happiness left to be found there, and that maybe there never was any real joy to begin with.
