>>88105197>>88112654>>88115697This but unironically.
I realized long ago I'm just a Hololive fan.
There are some entertaining indies like Ui or Patra or Karubi or Ukyochi or Chiroru, but I actually just like the idol stuff and the cgdct holobox collabs, and the actual interactions inside the garden.
Why the fuck would I watch some dumb broad play vidya when I could watch niconico roujins on twitch like Jun, Hanjou, Yuyuta, etc. who are better at games and more entertaining? The fact that they are part of a box that makes them a part of an evolving narrative is a huge boon that cannot be replicated.
Also, everything western feels super cargo cult, and HoloEN has only recently started becoming more acceptable to me.
>what about graduates?I only casually watch Rica, and I only followed mikhail felinus during that hilarious niconico roujinkai arc where she became (even more of) a lolcow and everyone was spamming her chat. Kson's content got/is boring and I barely even consider her a vtuber anymore, and Delta I never cared for to begin with, just wasn't there long enough. Dooby, I honestly never watched her past
her debut date but it sucks that shitposters are trying to squeeze out drama from her because they're cover antis.
like, if we follow the wrestling and vtubing metaphor then watching some dudes in a backyard doing indie wrestling might be fun but the dimes and narratives and audience interaction you have in big acts like WWE or NJPW or AEW is what makes shit special.
Maybe I'd need to be an unironic gachikoi and go full parasocial for me to "give a shit about the talents" more (read: groom her when she's 3view) but this shit is more like a tv show to me
