For Indies I'd bet with you it's a lot faster, because they are very flexible. When it comes to revisions it's probably similar, and imo that's the fault of the freelancer, you should always specify the number of free revisions beforehand so the requestor is forced to properly test in time and as thorough as possible. Or you just bill them by the hour, if you are confident.
