Here's the problem in the USA, is that if you do a concert in LA or Vegas, you could be over an hour away and need to pay $30-40 in taxis to find an affordable and available hotel and get to the venue.
Someplace like Boston and NYC are better, but have a host of issues, are expensive, already have issues with accommodations availability, and don't have many venues that fit that niche size without being a stadium. It's tricky to manage.
