well anyway, if you really haven't:
Soviet Russia were the ones who steamrolled Germany and invaded Berlin right at the end of the war ('muricans and co joined at the last minute to assist them)
the reason Hitler went into his bunker and capped himself was precisely because the Soviets were right at the doorstep and he knew it was Hitlover, to the point they were arming literal German kids and sending them out as the city collapsed
After this the Soviets took over ruling part of Germany, with the country being splite into East and West (this is what the Berlin Wall was) where East Germany was commie controlled and oppressed by Soviet secret police
when Soviet Russia collapsed at the end of the cold war, the Berlin War came down and Germany was independent again
