in bae's case it's obvious because she debuted less than two months after coco graduated, the holoCN branch was killed outright etc so it was actually pretty sensible to me to keep it sensitive. in ame's case, if that is the case, it's less clear but I would chalk it up to more like myth was unexpectedly a runaway success when debuting and they didn't want to risk anything at all to the clearly-working formula. remember, IIRC initially kiara couldn't even say she's austrian, she was wink-wink "australian." mori was from the underworld, gura from atlantis etc. it was part of the kayfabe and given how they somehow thought kayfabe is the most important thing ever when debuting Council, maybe they thought it was critical to hide these things.
also somehow again coco is involved because the whole taiwan shitstorm started like, days after myth debuted. given how quickly it spiraled out of control, if they debating starting to loosen up the kayfabe initially they clearly decided to backtrack and try to de-risk everything (which included kicking haachama out the EN server and denying her playing as "EN 0" even though EN fans liked her a lot).
