the voice thing was a just something anti's used to attack her. She was the least popular hololive member for a very long time, and easy prey. If she was more popular she would have had people who say they like her voice too. Japs like popular things. Her main issue in the start was her terrible streaming technical knowledge.

Is clearly not a common opinion since the most popular girls like that are mostly extremely popular because of EOP influence.
She listened to a small minority and the timing matched up with her doing extremely well in live shows so she seems to think it's the voice that was inclining her.

It stands out too much compared to the others which means she isn't conforming which means you cant like her as a JP. Fortunately her gap moe power is only increased by the deepness of her voice. Also the dynamic between her and Marine's voice is pretty funny especially when Towa is the straightman.

If towappi stopped trying to be cutesy and just used her regular voice, I'd unironically like her more. Jannies can confirm I've always hated shitty jarring fake voices. Towa, Kiara, Watame and shiki are some of the worst offenders, but a lot of chubas have shades of this. Changing your voice doesn't make you cute. Real cuteness comes from tone and personality. Trying to voicemax is just a cope. It's a distraction from just being a genuinely likeable person.
