There is even a video where someone from the home page team at YouTube that said not to focus on metatags as they are not important to the algorithm. The most important thing to the algorithm is click through rate and watch time. As I explained before, a Duolingo stream where the streamer is learning and talking in English will naturally attract more overseas viewers to chat than Japanese ones. The bounce rate (which means less watch time for a click through) will be lower since for overseas viewers since they will be able to understand what the streamer is saying. Since you could not seem to read my previous post I will make a nice list on why the overseas viewers were primarily Hololive viewers.
1. Nijisanji is much less popular than Hololive overseas. Hololive's EN branch is also very popular overseas. Just look at the number of clips for Hololive compared to Nijisanji or go into a Hololive member's chat and compare that to a Nijisanji member's chat.
2. Hololive clippers recommended to check Uto out since her artist also drew a Hololive EN character. This means a lot of Hololive EN fans checked her out. They most likely did not chat very much, nor accrue much watch time since the stream was in Japanese. An English stream is going to cause them to watch longer and interact more.
3. When she debuted and rebranded her channel her existing audience was almost exclusively Japanese meaning that the Nijisanji percentage will be much higher when compared to later on once the overseas community found her.
