Like, very few of these girls are actually ugly enough they wouldn't be able to make it as fleshtubers. Some of them would probably be much less popular, but I've only seen a few Vtubers who are genuinely ugly.
But digressing from that it's literally this, a massive amount of the pushback is camwhores who are FURIOUS that another woman can stream as a flawless anime girl that mogs them and compete with them despite not being as genetically gifted as they are. Imagine being born completely vapid and worthless as an individual but you have a nice face and a huge rack and you can coast by on easy mode because men throw money at you to spank it to your barely concealed tits, and then some random becky starts threatening the only thing you have in your life with her anime girl model.
