Oh by the way today is the day Anycolor has to fulfill the promise of free money (dividends) they made to the investors 7 weeks ago, something like 50-60 yen per share. I don't remember the exact amount, but is was definitely a two digit number.
Anycolor's stock has dropped by... considerably more than that two digit number since the dividends announcement, which means that the people who bought AC stock the day after the announcement will have lost money on the deal, even before factoring in brokerage fees where applicable.
....oh by the way tomorrow will probably not be a good day for AC either. Once the shareholders have gotten their "free" money (after the stock has dropped by more than that amount of money), they'll no longer have any reason to continue holding on, and will almost certainly unload their stocks en masse in race to avoid being the last to unload their stocks. The one saving grace for AC is that this weekend is a 3 day weekend, so the shareholders will have an extra 24 hours to cool their tempers before trading resumes.
The close on Sept 11, the day before they announced dividends, was 2255; on Sept 12, the day after the announcement, the close was 2397. And yesterday's close was 2153. These next two days will be the opposite of fun for AC's accountants.
....oh by the way, someone in one of yesterday's threads pointed out that there was a roughly two month gap between AC announcing the merger of ID and KR into the main branch, and the actual merger. They pointed out that if AC intends to merge EN into the main branch on Jan 1, and if they also intend to give the shareholders two months' notice of the merger, then they'll probably make the announcement at close of business on Nov 1 - tomorrow, right at the start of the last long weekend of the calendar year.
These next two days will not be great for EN - the days might not be terrible, if there is no merger announcement, but the days will not be great.
