>>88497964To be fair, traditional engineers aren't that impressive either. It's like how society orgasms and goes brain dead any time someone is a doctor. On the other hand, a doctor is just a practitioner that follows medical procedures and diagnostic guidelines. Most aren't involved in establishing those guidelines or developing those procedures, and fewer still are involved in research in any capacity. Yet say you're a doctor and everyone will take your word over anyone else, even over the experts in the field.
Engineer is like that too, but to a lesser degree. Whether it's stolen or not, there is no special valor or importance to the profession the title is associated with.
