>>88687151>>88687290>>88687687Amelia Watson is literally nothing like that random offtopic indie and I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
Without the Nabi facial features, the particular idiosyncratic cuteness of her smile and facial expressions (as seen in pic related) is utterly gone, additionally the paler blonde hair, white skin and blue eyes adds a fairer, waifish and gentle quality that the indie lacks, the blonde hair being medium length and just plain blonde without any highlights makes her also look more homely and simple, like a girl-next-door type - these gentle feminine features are then heavily contrasted with the cool Sherlock Holmes clothes which adds the kind of gap moe contrast that is like candy for the brain; how can a girl be simultaneously so cute but also so cool? This contrast adds an underlying enigmatic and mysterious quality that the indie with her generic workplace uniform completely lacks
Even the way Ame talked, enunciated and emoted and moved around is slightly different as it was clearly done to match the way her model would look and move, such as smiling in that big beaming way or rapidly head bobbing as an affirmative movement or making wide 'aaaaa' sounds - none of these idiosyncrasies are present with the indie since it looks completely different and, being 3D, no thought is even put into trying to make it more expressive, it's just the actual person's movement being tracked in a mundane way, they aren't performing like a sockpuppet.
The combined effect of all of this is that it doesn't feel like you are watching Amelia Watson anymore, and without the underlying background character concept and lore details at the back of your mind (time travelling detective) this is especially the case. Furthermore, being completely outside of the context of being in Hololive, in Myth, entangled in the web of relationships and character dynamics with all of the other Hololive members and all they did together, it does not feel the same.
Dooby will never be Amelia Watson.
