Normies still hate vtubers in the west. Did you know that Twitch literally helped Kai Cenat set up a subathon, shouted him out multiple times, and gave him a global emote just to help him beat Mouse's sub record? They didn't even think about giving Mouse a global emote when she beat a streamer ten times her size. Vtubers are still a niche curiosity.

I don't know if it'll become a staple but it is definitely not going to die out even if the "trend" is gone. There is always going to be a demand for streamers with anime avatars.
