People are making a big deal out of things because Elira's a part of it and her reputational baggage isn't exactly light. At best, she's a victim made to do something unsavory. At worst, she's the kind of snake the Bible tells you to ignore. But regardless of which side you buy into, the behavior of the talents involved is rather unusual. The removal of their names from Remia's schedule and the total lack of mention of collab partners in Narin's warrants eyebrow raising simply because it's unusual. And when unusual behavior happens with any string of attachment to Niji EN, it attracts a horde of eyes.

If you're like me and you believe Anycolor will not learn any lessons unless you deny their talents of any revenue while they're wearing the rainbow logo, then this collab will certainly arouse skepticism of some sort. If you're neutral or apathetic, then it won't matter to you.

It probably will. From what I gather, her audience has very little overlap with the part of the western fanbase that knows and cares about the Selen shock, so anyone who doesn't already know about the collab partners is less likely to find out about it in the future, thus hiding a red flag.

Well, to be frank, what has been seen of Niji EN's handling has not inspired any hope regarding any hands-on management for overseas branches. Hololive maintains its status of de facto best simply by making no fatal errors and even then, they had portions of management totally unaware of Nerissa's family making regular appearances onstream. I get the sense JP management maintains varying degrees of hands-off, which is troubling to say the least.

I'd put it more on VSPO in particular. Brave branches seem to run more autonomously than most other corpos. A good example is how VSPO EN started off strong with the palpable botted debuts hey were infamous for across the pond, while v4m's debut numbers seemed to be on the level. I guess the eSports division is really intent to play Brave's heel for the Western market.

Already had their big moment for this, which kind of flew under the radar outside of here. The previous management of holoEN was doing such a shit job. Pretty much all the girls have talked about how bad things were, some more subtly then others.
They did step in though, and overhauled holoENs management team sometime at the end of 2022. Things slowly got a lot better. Still room for improvement, but I think it speaks a lot that they did actually do something pretty drastic and improved things. Without there being much fallout.

I think the reason why Narin still went through with the collab is because she wanted to collab with finana (she likes her a lot for who knows what reason). However, Narin is too afraid of reaching out and collabing by herself so it ended out this way.

I understand that and I do think it's fucking retarded to just hate all the Nijis because of them being part of the company or because they might have been part of the """clique""" but for Elira Vox and Ike there's a video with over a million views that proves they're terrible people. What baffles me about this collab is not even the moral aspect - it's the practical one. At a time when VSPO! EN has been noted as not doing as well as expected they choose to collab with someone who is toxic to the EN sphere - they have just made certain that their EN branch will never be successful. There may well be a slight increase in viewers from dramafags and nijisisters, but neither of those actually spends money on the chuuba they're watching.

Considering this is the first Elira collab after February with another EN corpo (as far as I'm aware, I think she's only done a couple with small indies) it'll be interesting to see what this changes about their CCV/SC going forward - if it stays the same or increases then it might lead to more corpos collabing with her again - if the views and SCs decrease then I think that might cement her being toxic and she'll be avoided from now on.

It can be to be honest - if you live in a country without easy access to firearms, and you don't want to involve some third party (like throwing yourself in front of traffic/a train) then a lot of other methods aren't really fool-proof. When I was young I took an overdose of sleeping pills (standard dose was 25mg and I took two full packs so about 1800mg) and all that happened was I just went on a pretty scary trip and randomly walked around my city thinking I was phasing between dimensions. There was no actual damage done - other than me breaking my wrist at some point during the time I was high.
