Anyone who complained about Adaptability in DS2 are the same idiots that complained about Poise in DS3.
I remember when DS3 launched and so many idiots kept complaining how they can no longer fish backstabs against guarding knights, despite the fact that most weapons give you a stance move in breaking their shields.
DS2 on the other hand has so many other options in defenses and healing, but everyone just wants to rely on i-frames while creating the fattest character imaginable.
Adaptability is still a stupid stat though, in the same way Resistance is in the first game.

The problem is that the intro assumes that you have a wife and child so it destroys a lot of character building.
