HoloEN was well established by the time they applied. For Promise and especially Myth, what "HoloEN" meant (or if it would even last) was up in the air.

In particular, it's amazing that IRyS survived Omegay's torture regime.
As for the indirect one, it's more that Advent spent more time in the oven after being accepted. They met each other in person, had more time to get to know each other, got familiar with how Hololive works (management, etc.), and that extra time also allowed them to influence their models and lore much more.
