Also merch doesn't have too much of a markup unless it's a really desired item and the shipping cost for it at the time was really expensive (To my country it was $80 for the hoodie and like $50 for the shipping, plus taxes which is like a %30 percent over the cost of the item).
If I use a proxy service, it's whatever I pay for the hoodie(Let's assume $100 due to secondhand markup), plus %10 for the service($10) plus shipping, which is lower (I have ordered during coof, it was $25 and for a box bigger and heavier than the fucking hoodie one). Then I can avoid taxes because the proxy service can underprice the cost of the item in the receipt.
In the end, I pay less using a proxy service than through official means. All of this considering that the hoodie doesn't ends up costing like $160+ in the secondhand market. If it does, then I lose and I would have paid more than if I had ordered at the time.
