It can be argued that there needs to be a minimum number of constantly-streaming girls to form a critical mass, where basically dead hours don't exist anymore and it's easy to get cool new collabs like enreco going because there are enough volunteers to get things to fire off instead of it being like "yeah right, good luck getting more than like 2 people to go for that"

JP/EN is 2.46X multiplier in terms of market size.

Just do a quick calculation on EN heavy hitters like Biboo who casually gets ~8-9K regularly and ~12-14K on new FOTM titles. And then X 2.46 that for JP equivalent. Thats 21K on casual and 32K on FOTM buffs.

Gen 1 were promoting their own merchs for their anni. As of why other anni3d lives don't, ask them.
Regloss, SC them. They are not under hololive management to begin with. WE don't know exactly what the agreement are. They could get more cut in other places.
Without proper insider information, we don't get to decide if talents are getting less treatment or not.

Does the group merch thing actually even make a difference in aggregate numbers? Even if the talents' share is split between multiple talents, the total amount going to the corpo and the talents should still be the same.

NTA, but generally speaking, talents get high cut from some merchs (mainly personalized merchs, i.e: birthday or anniversary) and lower cut (still well above 2%, mind you) on standardized merchs (i.e: acrylic stands or concert merchs).
If Cover doesn't adjust their cuts and releases way more standardized merchs compared to personalized merchs, talent remunerations will go up in amount, but down in percentage compared to their revenue. That's pretty much what happened here and I don't know why some anons (sisters?) are saying as if it's bad - personally, as long as the cuts remain unchanged (or changed for the better for talents) and Cover doesn't reduce amount of personalized merchs (no reason for them to), I don't care if they ramp up the other kind of merchs for more profits. It's not like talents have to spend any significant amount of time or resources on those standardized merchs anyway
