As someone who watches babiniku regularly there's not even a single hit of voice changer - even the best at it like Tomari will have it become pretty noticeable as it hammers the unavoidable deeper notes.
Also, voice changer whispering is very noticable because even all the air ends up with distortion effects.
If it's a dude doing the voice then he's excellent at doing all modulation on throat alone - which is very respectable in itself.
Still, roommate doesn't matter.
