Autism is such a broad spectrum that you can only really categorize someone if they have quite a few symptoms. I knew a guy in high school who was a diagnosed autist who loved physical contact, in fact it was to the point that it bothered people, he would try to hug people upon first meeting them whether they knew him or not and often overshare with people who didn’t want to talk with him, that was just his poor social skills manifesting in a different way in that he didn’t understand boundaries.
