>>89793507There's a couple easy things you can do to prevent this update from going through.
Go to your steamapps folder. It's usually located in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps
Look for the file appmanifest_2420510.acf
Open up the Properties and set the file to read only.
If you stop here, it just blocks the game from updating. If you want to actually PLAY the game you have to follow the next step.
4) Set Steam to Offline mode (Steam menu on the upper left --> Go Offline).
This freezes updates and allows you to launch HoloCure without updating it.
If you accidentally updated the game do not fear, you can still get an archive of the previous version (from 2 days ago):
In your browser, type this in the address field:
steam://nav/console.
Your browser will ask you if you want to open this link in Steam, click Continue/Yes.
You will now be presented with a console. If you've ever screwed around with a Command Prompt or you're a hobbyist dev this should be familiar.
Copy-paste this command and hit enter:
download_depot 2420510 2420511 530747257288547602
This downloads basically the full build of HoloCure right before the nerf.
The old version will download here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_2420510\depot_2420511
Backup the current HoloCure installation and drop all the files from the depot into here. Also might be a good idea to backup your save file.

If you want to know what you're typing in - every successful build of this game is actually saved inside a depot. This depot stores each new build Kay Yu and his team uploads. This is their "public" branch - every public version of HoloCure that you've played since its Steam inception is located here. And yes, there IS a "secrettesters" branch, but it's obviously locked behind a password.
The command you're using is telling it to download the build from 2 days ago (11/16).
2420510 is the app id number. 2420511 is the depot number, 530747257288547602 is the "manifest". A manifest is kind of like a download/configuration file that tells Steam where to get the files for that particular version.
For example, the manifest number for the Greed Stamp nerf is 5115369806550322583 The numbers seem arbitrary, I think.
It's pretty easy to spot when an update is related directly to a particular manifest number by date.
