And then they fuck their lives up with bad life choices because their parents are too busy screaming about IDEALS and abstinence to accept that their children are people rather than pets and teach them how to live responsibly as adults.
The biggest danger to children isn't pedophiles. It's shit parents who coddle their kids and infantalize them, which leaves them ill equipped to survive on their own (which they're going to need to be able to do as adults). There is no more insidious way to fuck a person up than setting them up for a lifetime of failure the moment they step out of the institutionalized learning facilities.
