Did they change how the stage boss fan letter drop works or is it and effect from the casino item?
You now automatically pick up ALL stage boss fan letters (so not just the final boss) so you don't need to worry on missing out on them if you're not playing on endless.

Leaker from the devteam here, Holocure 0.8 update will feature a Advent + Justice and a new mechanic called 'Teamup' which will allow you to select any 2 holomems and combine them into a single unit. This was initially planned as a feature unique to Fuwamoco but implemented to the whole cast as a unique game mode.

- Both characters will move together on screen and alternate between their basic weapon attacks.
- Basic weapon attacks are upgraded simultaneously, but only up to 4 skills can be chosen from the combined pool of both characters. This allows for even more unique and emergent gameplay.
- Specials on the other hand become a unique combination attack, although it mostly reuses the existing animations.
- Some teamups will have a unique title displayed during character selection, such as MiComet / FubuMio / etc. (As a joke, almost all teamups with Irys is just the other member + Rys)

Teamups also tie into another feature in Holohouse, where the character you team up the most with when playing Holohouse as a certain character, will visit more often and even enter your house. There's even gifts that can drop randomly from fans that you can use to boost your relationship.

There's even more planned but I don't want to spoil it all, if I do Kay Yu will force me to work another week of unpaid overtime to nerf stamps while he draws more anime tiddies for some new isekai-slop, so look forward to the next update.

Which is very stupid because if you have achievements left to complete, then you don't have 100% completion, even if the game tells you that you do. It's condescending in a way, like the game and its developer is going 'aww there there here's your 100% medal, cause I know you're so bad you're never getting those achievements anyway, we just won't count them'

Nah, I got over 100% in DKC, Jak, and Dust. But those give you like 3-5% extra tops. and functionally their over 100% is their 100%. What kay wants is to make an entirely separate category of achievements. Not a couple, a category. What's the final tally going to be then, 132%? Just don't separate them, make them all required for 100% instead of granting a participation award to people who only complete 70% of all achievements.

That's a different game entirely. I wish I could say the same of holojump king so I would not have to touch it ever again, but unfortunately he decided to stick it inside holocure and will make an expansion for it.
Funny how moving those cruel achievements to their own category that doesn't count for 100% is a bandaid solution to a problem he created. Because yeah beating holojump king should be an achievement, if people wanted to play jump king. They don't. They want to play vampire survivors with a vtuber skin and a few fishing, housing, and gambling minigames. But by forcing it into cure, he forced everyone who wanted 100% to play a completely different game, and after seeing the negative reactions he's gonna make it not count, except it's too late because even if it doesn't it's still in the game so anyone who wants true 100% will have to beat it.
If the tower had been like break, a completely separate game, no one would've complained. But I guess after seeing everyone ignore break and beg for cure instead, he just had to make sure that this other game was unavoidable by sticking it inside a different, more popular one.

In my case, it's because practically everything that gives an achievement in this game also gives you a reward too. Gachikoing every character takes forever, but apart from the achievement, you also get them buffed. Fishing gives you a lot of coins. And like every other general achievement unlocks a weapon or item. By the time you're left with the ones that don't give rewards and are actually hard and/or annoying to get, you're already 90% done. Might as well finish it.

I was referring to achievements that have no associated reward other than a few measly coins. Getting the math quiz right in S4H, or beating a hard stage without getting hit by bullets.
For ones like gachikoing or fishing, there is a reward and an achievement. For others, like getting 500% pickup, the reward is IN the achievement. Those two kinds are the ones you gun for, and by the time you're done with them, you're so close to getting 100% that you might as well finish the rest.

The hardest fish to farm are the most "common" ones though. They never drop, need 10000x to refill and when they do drop they drop like 6. Sharks are way more common while shrimp and salmon are bricks.

It's funny how two versions prior, we got stage 3, which had references to gen 3, and then we got them two updates later; now we're getting advent references knowing they'll be added two updates later. I did the cockfighting for the fan letter upgrade, and I gotta say, this update wasn't that fun. The casino doesn't feel rewarding, I used a TAS video as a guide for the tower so it didn't take long, and I'm not grinding my mining and woodcutting. Put prisms on the ever-increasing list of retarded decisions for this game. This is a far cry from when the Holo House was just fishing and decorating. It's the fact that it's got its own currency and limits how many you can buy that makes it so I won't spend any time there at all. If I could just spend excess coins whenever I get bored and play a few card games, it would have been a good time killer. What a waste of dev time.

The new characters are strong, minus Luna and Towa. I wish they would just buff the bad ones and focus on making everyone fun instead of making so many minigames. Though I had already lost any passion I had after how badly they treated Anya. I think I'm just over it.

They can drop on normal Stage Mode, yeah.
You'd have to stand right ontop of the drop point when the boss dies and even then it's kind of a crapshot whether it registers the pick up before the Stage Clear pop up. Far easier just to do Endless.
Also this might be wrong but I've done around 20-25 Endless runs since patch and have yet to get a single Fan Letter from the normal mobs past the 20 minute boss fight, so I'm currently assuming they can't drop anything and started exiting out after killing the boss.

NTA, but her special took a hit with the changes to piman, since she can't spam it anymore. And given her basic attack is straight line attack that relies on Omen procs to even clear effectively, as a single weapon run she definitely isn't great.

Generally more health than attack. Most people I've seen do something like 30/10 split, then focus of using retreat/get item to avoid combat and let other workers whittle themselves down until only one or two are left than you can easily finish off

There was a small frame when a input blocks a new one. It's hard to do the arrow + jump at the same time for that reason. You need to do arrow, jump or jump, arrow instead. Which in the last part's jumps is kinda ass.
It happens with the fishing game when a missed direction doesn't only makes you fail that but also the next one because it also blocks it.

Nta, but most of those things are not documented. For example, Oujo's sword had this known issue that no matter how much haste you get, they had a noticeable downtime that only is patched with the boros' stamp. But at the same time nobody has the exact numbers behind it.

I don't know why he added "%" to every stat, it's unnecessary and confusing. Just leave them as plain numbers and make multiplicative items and skills have the "%" instead of "x".
So many people think injection is great because they see "+80%" and they think it's multiplying their attack by 1.8, when in reality it's just giving them 80 attack points. Just remove all %s from the game except where they're actually needed.

The only multipliers, at least last I remember, are the gorilla paw and face mask, which explicitly use the word "multiply". Most everything else is added as a flat amount to your attack damage stat.

Fair enough, though apparently they are calculated separately, which is weird. Paw and mask are multiplied directly against your damage to calculate your total damage, while hat, headband, as well as piman and advent stamp, are applied as a separate on-hit damage against enemies, though still as a multiplier. In theory that should work out better if you have have multiple of them, since you are getting two multiplier buckets instead of one though.

Asacoco is at least in line with other items of its sort with its +80% attack
The attack modifiers are fine in my opinion but they are additive rather than multiplying so it isn’t hard to remember

I've been getting slowdowns since yesterday. I'm normally running Snow Flower Sake, Elite Cooking and BL Fujoshi and one of their super collab versions. Item-wise, I typically get the mask/paw/hope/shackle/halu/defensive item. It might be the extra enemies on screen from halu since it'll speed back up if I clear the screen. Turning off effects and damage numbers did nothing. I haven't done a run since the latest patch today though. Don't know if that did anything.

I feel like people are sleeping on Flare as a defensive character. This was the first time I was able to clear stage 4H without using up my prism.

People talk about her projectiles or her fire shot, but her shield is fucking INSANE. Being able to no sell 6 whole attacks (including stage 4H lighting) is already good, but the best part, is that the shield recharges REALLY fast. She doesn't need any healing perks because the amount of damage you take in the brief window you're vulnerable can easily be healed naturally during the time you're invulnerable (although admittedly I did need to use the heal support item occasionally, luckily Flare doesn't need the dash). Thanks to that I can just go ham on the offensive items to get mad DPS.

That said, the shield probably wont be too good against the Yagoos, I'm gonna try endless next.

Yeah, that was "just" 728% pickup range, or 54% increased attack size on top of the 20% from milk. If I had done a solo weapon run I could have made those rockets huge with the size up stamp and focusing all my levels on pick up range

Watame scholars, I have a hypothesis

that means that, if you have let's say 200HP, EH only needs to kill 1 enemy per second to heal on average as much as standing on 1 Jingisukan (5% of 200 = 10, proccing 30% of the time = 3HP healed on average per enemy killed). the more health you have, the more EH is benefited. a Watame run can easily reach 300-400HP by the end
ultimate, it depends on how many puddles you most often stand on with Jingisukan, and how much you can kill with EH. more testing is needed

If heal focused all the yagoos would stand on top of you. with max haste you would be standing in all puddles of jingisukan, meaning 3xpuddle amount hp per second, 29.4 pools at a time (they last 5 seconds and fastest you can get a pool out is 1 every 0.17s) means 88.2 hp per second, in order to reach that amount of healing per second with those % (30% chance for 5% is 1.5% over time) you would need to have at least 5880hp to match it if you were to kill 1 enemy per second with it. Basically, Jingisukan is better until you hit that hp.

damn, that would have been a free 3.33%(continuous) hp per second, leading to like at least another 13.32 hp per second (since you would have at least 400hp by this point) bringing the total to over 100hp per second, but 88.2 hard cap from it is fine I guess.
