When she did start to swing back, it flowed a lot better, but the high energy level and the edgier tone (the "3/5ths of a vote" joke, the "your ass has more fans than your music" line) seemed to really catch her off guard.
Doki was filling the awkward silence with yapping and bounce, which is where she excels, but Bao was weirdly quiet until she was directly addressed. It's possible the energy level and constant back and forth between Doki and Filian put her off her game too.
