It's pretty clear that Genshin Impact is banned on Hololive because of the China Taiwan incident. Now Naraka: Bladepoint has released. Overall every possible reason should point towards Aqua playing it: - Battle royale (she played Apex), and has Melee combat similar to Sekiro (Aqua is very good in Sekiro). It also has a true Solo mode (Aqua is a solo player). Basically it's the perfect game for her. - Naraka had successful launch and already good playerbase, it's relevant game. - In a recent Minecraft stream she said there was a game she wanted to play on stream but can't = Probably Naraka, and if not, then Genshin Impact (she plays gacha). Both lead to the same conclusion of Chinese games being banned in Hololive. - Aqua doesn't play Apex anymore (at least on stream), because she has switched to Naraka, and even if she quit for other reasons like the bullying, her not playing a battle royale at the moment too increases the chances of her getting into Naraka. (- Supporting fact: hidden restrictions are all over Hololive now, members are constantly mentioning how they can't do what they want on stream.) This is sad because I like Naraka and would really like watching Aqua or other Hololive members play it. Also, there's a risk that this China ban becomes apparent later, which will make Hololive look racist and cause even more China problems, even if it looks like the safest option now.

>>9007979 It's just a video game. There are other games they can't publicly play due to permission stuff. Just watch them play some other games. If you like the game then play it yourself.

>>9008098 Definitely not a permission issue like with Nintendo. They literally have content creation programs to encourage people making Naraka content.

>>9007979 First of all why do you assume it is cover that are banning Chinese games and not the other way around? Those faggot chinks are still piss and doing shit like altering anime content when hololive is in it so why are you laying the blame on cover? Make it hard to not see you as a chink.

Sorry zhangs, chinks made it abundantly clear that Cover would have to choose between the Western market or the Chinese market.

>>9008228 Hololive is stupid about this stuff. A lot of Devs have gave hololive permission publicly on Twitter to play their games but hololive still won’t let their idols play the games unless it goes through their procedures.
Anonymous
>>9008265 Because Cover has a track record of banning a lot of things if it doesn't fit in their safe idol plan.
>>9008278 Oh, Muse Dash ban comes from the game owner? That's surprising but makes sense. Still, it would probably be up to the game company. So far Naraka devs seem rather modern and overseas-friendly people. Though it's always possible they might do these exclusive bans (or be pressured to to it).

Any permission given by social media can be retracted through social media and with the corresponding strikes to match

Zhangs get out. YOU banned this not Cover. Cover doesn't give a fuck.

>>9007979 I highly doubt they even bother to ask chink companies for game permissions since the Taiwan thing. It's different if it's owned by a big conglomerate like Tencent, Activision, or Riot but a small mainland studio is not worth bothering with. Chinks would see the Holos playing it, make a fuss on social media about the company not being patriotic, and make them withdraw permission, like with what happened to the Muse Dash devs.

CCP banned hololive, they imposed rules of "no hololive" for bug game devs, and you have the audacity to claim that Cover banned holos from playing chink games, unbelivable.

>Chinese kids can't play more than 3 hours a week of a game now. Sucks to live in a country where your government controls what you can and can't play and for how long. Kind of funny they shot themselves in the foot with this decision because their biggest money makers are low effort micro-transaction ridden mobile games by Tencent and Netease. They'll probably implent a loophole for that. Not like there are any good Chinese made games to begin with. The only big loss is Muse Dash.
