>>90089442Hololive has completely stagnated since 2021.
After the big surge of 2020, Cover tried to rode the wave quickly and announced tons of projects with high hopes with no payoffs to this day. HoloEarth is still a prealpha, Holo Alternative went nowhere significant, HoloFes became larger from 2021 to 2022 but feels quite the same but with more members since 2023, deviating from main gens for Dev:Is makes HoloJP more segregated, Advent took too long but Justice came too fast, Shitmega's lore went nowhere and was retarded and now he's fired, live 2D became better at a very slow rate (Suisei went 2.0 just 3 days ago meanwhile fubuki has been 3.0 for 2 years), I don't even remember hololive Meet, Holo27 was a downgrade from Bouquet and Blue journey a downgrade of Holo27, we got hurt with many impactful graduation in the past few years, Rushia's and Coco's departure are negligible in retrospect but Achan was basically the fucking glue holding shit together and Aqua was one the most popular OG member pre surge alongside Fubuki and Choco.
You could argue this is just outside the "streaming" aspect of vtuber activity and it's still many projects but the streaming aspect in my opinion is the one suffering the most for lack of innovation and I just realized that recently with the release of Holocure. I am entirely serious but in Holocure, a game released last year, 90% of the reference are from streams from 2019 up to mid 2021. Elite Miko, suicopath, ayame dochi, korone's catch phrase, EN's curse, Haachama coexist arc, virtually everything traces back from before 2021. It might be just my feeling but I really hope something could come out and make me feel like we've progressed since the early days.
>kek nijifag I have never watched any single other vtuber but hololive apart from kizuna Ai and I have been watching vtuber since 2019.
