Earlier there was a poll on anon's opinions about ID's. the board appears to be roughly splitt in half on the matter.
To those that do not agree on ID's being a good idea i'd like to present the following argument:
By now it should be abundantly clear that this board is under constant raid by various offsite groups that have a vested interest.
in my opinion those interest are mainly these two. One: creating drama, making clips about that drama and then
advertising those clips resulting in monetary gain by ads. Two: disrupt any discussing, make screenshots of that and post them to twitter that
then too results in monetary gain by ads. there is monetary incentive to shit up the board. ontop of that alot of people get a sense
of power from the "griefer-mindset". this has been going on for years.
How do ID's play into this? The impact samefagging, falseflagging, shitstirring, baiting, advertising, trolling and being an all-around retard has
would be greatly diminished by having ID's on a per thread basis. certainly it would not stop it entirely, but no solution ever is perfect.
someone keeps talking shit? filter the ID. want to be unfilterd? wait 15 minutes. then get filterd again.
To those that will under no circumstance agree to ID's i have another proposal:
Boardsplitt. One being /vt/, as is, for those that enjoy a more /b/ like experience and the other being a new board.
/vtg/ - vtuber generals, with the above change, for anons that look for actual vtuber discussion. such a board would most likely be a bit slower
which would benefit smaller generals as they would be less at risk of being slid of the board.
I realize to ask is pointless, since this thread will most certainly be brigaded, nonetheless i would ask to stay constructive and on topic.
