There is no general "vtuber" audience in the same sense there is no general "sports" audience. People watching american football won't really jump to watch (let's say) baseball if they're feeling disillusioned with the state of their league, they'll likely scatter through a multitude of other non sports related hobbies.
That's not to say there is no "multisports" audience but there is no expectation that one sports watcher will move to another because they're both sports.
For vtubers that's the same, there are those who like Hololive style vtubing and will watch Hololive and the occasional other chuuba that delivers a similar style of content (like Ui, for instance).
Then there are those who prefer more "unhinged" content so they'll gravitate towards "unhinged style vtubers" like Nijis and homos and phase and Indies.
